Final notice for Sem I GEC, SEC, VAC & AEC

All Semester 1 students please note that the last date of changing the already allotted common courses (GEC, SEC, VAC and AEC) is being extended to 28.12. 2022, after which no such request for change will be entertained by the college.

The request for change of the GEC, SEC, VAC, and AECs should be through an email to the address: clearly specifying both the courses from and to which the student wants to shift. (i.e. request for shifting from and shifting to) along with her/his full name, class, college roll number and phone number.

There are no more seats available in GE and SEC Computer Science courses – “Programming with Python” and “Front End Web Design and Development” respectively. No shift or fresh application to this course will be allowed.

Separate mails must be sent for each specific request for change. Please do not send the request for changing two or more courses in the same mail (ex: send two different mails for request of changes in GEC and SEC). Further each student should mail separately from her/his own email id.

Students, who have already applied for course changes or filled the online forms for allocation and have not yet got a response from us are requested to attend the classes for the courses they have opted for or requested change to, as long as there are no errors in their choices and they have not chosen the two above mentioned courses where allocation has been frozen. The final lists for all these courses will be put up next week. Please do not send the same mails repeatedly.

All students please note that there will be major changes in the timetable beginning from the first week of January 2023.

Students who have not yet filled the online Google forms for allocation of GEC, SEC, VAC and AEC are requested to do so immediately. The links are mentioned below:

(Please ignore the earlier last date mentioned in the forms. Please submit the forms latest by 28.12.2022.)

Additionally please note the following points:

  • No student can take a GE course in her/his core discipline(s).
  • All students of science courses (BSc Honours or Programme) have to compulsorily do an Indian language as their AEC in Semester 1. Please don’t send a request to shift to Environmental Science; they will have to compulsorily do EVS next semester. The University has designed an elementary course in Hindi (AEC) for foreign students. All foreign students, in any of the BSc courses, who have not yet taken any existing AEC will be allotted this course. (Classes will start from January 2023 and allotment done in the next list).
  • B.Com. and B.A. Programme students have to do language GEs (English and Indian language respectively in alternate semesters, first two years). They cannot opt from the common pool of GEs. The foreign students in BCom Programme have been allowed to take English GE this semester.

Any grievance or query regarding GE allocation should be directed to the GEC Committee through the email: . All queries or grievances should mention the student’s full name, class, college roll number and phone number.
