For all students of B.A. (Hons)/B.Sc. (Hons)/B.Com. (Hons) of semester-IV and of B.A. (Prog.)/B.Com(Prog.) of semester-VI

Choice of Generic Elective Course (GEC)

All students of Semester IV in B.A. (Hons)/B.Sc. (Hons)/B.Com.(Hons) and of Semester VI in B.A. (Prog)/B.Com.(Prog) in Kirori Mal College are required to submit online their preferences for Generic Elective (GE) courses, offered by the college, latest by Thursday, 12th January 2023 in a prescribed e-form accessible at the Kirori Mal College website at the following link:

Important Instructions:

  1. The students should carefully fill out the form because this form can be submitted only once. Care should be taken in correctly mentioning the name, college roll number, department (in which the student has taken admission), e-mail id, and phone number (please provide an active phone number).
  2. Students are advised to provide three choices of GE courses in order of preference. Though our attempt will be to provide the student’s first choice, we may not be able to do so, given the number of applicants in a course. (The list of the GECs offered by the college is mentioned below and also available as a dropdown list in the form.)
  3. Semester IV students please note that GE Computer Science has limited capacity and if the number of applicants are more than our capacity, we may conduct a written elimination test to determine allocation. Further, the applicants may note that this Computer Science GE course needs a prior knowledge of Python programming and computer networks. So, only students, who have done CS GE courses in Sem 1 and 3 are advised to apply for this.
  4. A student can choose the same subject GEC that he or she chose in the last semester or opt for a GEC from a different subject. Thus, all students of Sem IV and VI, have to fill out this e-form, irrespective of their subject choice.
  5. The students of a particular Honours department will not be allowed to choose the GE course offered by the same department. For example, the students of B.Sc. (Hons.) Chemistry are not allowed to choose the GE course offered by the Chemistry department.  The same applies to students of all the courses.
  6. If a student fails to submit the online form by the notified last date, she/he may be allotted a course at the discretion of the college.
