We're excited to invite you to our event 'Dialogue for Change: Northeast India in the Mainstream Discourse,' a panel discussion to discuss the various challenges encountered by Northeast Indians in the mainland, following an insightful policy-centric discussion on the findings and recommendations forwarded by the Bezbaruah Committee, featuring Mr. Madan Prasad Bezbaruah, Chair of the 'Bezbaruah Committee,' and Hon’ble MP Mr. Pradyut Bordoloi as panelists.

This event aims to shed light on the pressing issue of substance abuse that has plagued the youth of Northeast India. The statistics are alarming, with substance abuse rates nearly 20 percent higher than the national average. It is a crisis that affects both individuals and the nation as a whole. In our endeavor to address this issue, we are screening a thought-provoking movie, '9INE,' made by young and talented filmmakers from Assam. This will be followed by an insightful speaker session by Dr. Sabiha Mazid, an expert in the field who will share her valuable insights.
