UNESCO-India-Africa Hackathon (UIA) || Invitation to Participate in Cultural Program

Ministry of Education, in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs and UNESCO, along with AICTE and EdCIL, is organizing UNESCO-India-Africa hackathon (UIA) to promote collaboration between India and African countries. This will be held during 22-25 November,2O22 at Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida.

During the event, young brains from 22 African countries along with India will collaborate to conceptualize innovative technology-based solutions for the daunting problems faced by these countries, as well as promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in the young generation. More than 400 students from these countries along with 60 officials are expected to participate in the event. The event will be inaugurated by the Hon’ble Education Minister on 22.11.2022. Hon’ble Prime Ministerwill grace the prize distribution ceremony on 25.11.2022 as ‘Chief Guest’. The Hon’ble Ministers for Education/ S&T from all these countries and the top dignitaries from UNESCO will also be present in this event. Considering the magnitude of the event, this is a great opportunity to unleash students’ hidden talents in a variety of genres ranging from creative skills to singing, dancing, acting, and rocking up the stage with band music.

To participate, the students are requested to provide the recorded video of performance (singing/dance/music/drama/act etc) to below mentioned Email IDs before 4th November 2022 (12pm). Based on the performance, participant’s will be selected who would be performing in the inauguration/valedictory function of the UIA event. Each performance should not be more than 15min and must be unique.
