SPIC MACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth) is a non-profit organization established in 1977 by Dr. Kiran Seth. Its mission is to promote Indian classical music, dance, and culture among the youth. Through concerts, workshops, lecture-demonstrations, and heritage walks, SPIC MACAY brings the richness of India's artistic heritage to students across the country. The organization operates through a network of volunteers and collaborates with educational institutions, cultural bodies, and government organizations.pate in a variety of events that stimulate intellectual curiosity, foster a spirit of community, and promote active learning and critical thinking.

SPIC MACAY's activities aim to provide students with immersive experiences of India's traditional art forms, fostering an appreciation for their depth and beauty. By engaging with these cultural expressions, young people develop a deeper understanding of their cultural roots and values. The movement emphasizes the importance of preserving these traditions and promotes values of unity, integrity, and respect for diversity. SPIC MACAY's efforts contribute to creating a culturally enriched and aware society

At SPIC MACAY Kirori Mal College, our commitment to celebrating and preserving India's cultural heritage has led us to organize a variety of enriching events. In our previous tenure, we successfully hosted Qawwali Nights that were nothing short of magical. These evenings featured soul-stirring performances by renowned Qawwali artists, filling the air with the mesmerizing sounds of traditional Sufi music. The Qawwali Nights provided an opportunity for students and faculty to experience the profound beauty and spiritual depth of this unique musical genre. It was a celebration of our rich musical traditions, fostering a sense of unity, reverence, and community among attendees.

In addition to the Qawwali Nights, we organized Heritage Walks that offered students a fascinating journey through India's historical and cultural landscape. These walks were meticulously planned to include visits to significant architectural and historical landmarks, allowing participants to delve into the stories and heritage that have shaped our nation. The Heritage Walks were not only educational but also provided a sense of connection to our roots, enhancing our appreciation for the country's diverse and vibrant history. Through these initiatives, SPIC MACAY Kirori Mal College aims to inspire and educate the youth, instilling a sense of pride and awareness about our cultural legacy. We remain dedicated to creating more such experiences that celebrate and promote the essence of Indian culture.
