The Round Table is an academic-oriented society that intends to make learning interesting and enjoyable. The Society enjoys its fair share of camaraderie while focusing on the cognitive growth of its members. It organizes instructional workshops, enlightening seminars, spectacular festivals, and ingeniously conceived contests. Additionally, the Society engages in social change initiatives, charity drives, research projects, and Model United Nations. Throughout the year, members participate in a variety of events that stimulate intellectual curiosity, foster a spirit of community, and promote active learning and critical thinking.
GENESIS
GENESIS," our odd semester event, was a resounding success, captivating participants with a blend
of stalls and competitive activities. Under the theme "ENGAGE, EXPLORE, EVOLVE," the event celebrated
innovation and intellect. The competitions, "ByteBattle: Outwit The Ordinary" and "IntelliQuest: The Final Gambit,"
showcased creativity, problem-solving, and strategic thinking. ByteBattle challenged participants with mind-bending
scenarios and research reports, fostering academic and career growth. IntelliQuest simulated espionage and human-AI
collaboration, testing ingenuity and teamwork. Stalls displayed the latest in technology, and sponsors enhanced
the event with diverse cuisines, creating an unforgettable experience. GENESIS facilitated meaningful exchanges on
technology's future and ethical implications, evidenced by enthusiastic participation and positive feedback,
making it a semester highlight.
INTELLOSPHERE
Intel losphere , the flagship event of TRT, embarked on a journey to decipher the enigma of Bharat. Under the theme
"Decoding Bharat’s Enigma," the event featured insightful speaker sessions and dynamic panel discussions, attended by
approximately 120 individuals. Highlights included Mr. Pradeep Bhandari's session on India's civilizational resilience
and Major Gen Pradeep Singh Behl's analysis of India's geopolitical nexus. Competitions like "Shaasan-Niti" and "Takht:
Turmoil, Tactics, Triumph" showcased participants' intellectual prowess. With diverse stalls and cultural explorations,
Intellosphere offered a profound understanding of India's heritage,
KMC MUN
The Round Table Society of Kirori Mal College organized the 7th edition of the Model United Nations conference on
April 12th and 13th, 2024. Distinguished guests included Mr. Darren Grant and Amb. (retd.) Riva Ganguly Das at the
opening ceremony. Six committees addressed critical global issues, fostering diplomacy and cooperation. The closing
ceremony featured Prof. Sukh Deo Muni, Amb. (retd.) Yogendra Kumar, and Dr. Suresh K Goel. The conference was a resounding
success, showcasing the participants' commitment to nuanced understanding and fruitful resolutions. The event was immensely
successful and an added feather in The Round Table’s cap. The Round Table anticipates the opportunity to host this event
again next year, fostering even greater collaboration and impact.
TRT - Unspoken
In our podcast series, TRT Unspoken, we've released six insightful episodes so far. In the fifth
episode, social media influencer Agasthya Shah shares valuable tips on building a successful
career as an influencer. According to Shah, consistency is crucial for gaining followers, and
collaboration with other influencers and brands in the same niche is a smart strategy for growth.
He emphasizes the importance of staying positive and not letting negativity impact mental
health. In the sixth episode, we had the honor of hosting Mr. Anil K Rajvanshi, who discussed
"Spiritualism in the Modern World." Mr. Rajvanshi delved into the relevance of spiritualism in
today's fast-paced world, providing a thoughtful perspective on finding balance and meaning
during modern challenges.
Research Paper
The Round Table publishes an annual research paper co-authored by its members. Each year,
the chosen topic aims to address current concerns or discussions that haven't been explored
adequately. This year's research paper focused on the "Comparative analysis of contextual
factors in the right to life vs right to choose concerning abortion rights." The members aimed to
thoroughly compare the factors influencing the right to life and the right to choose, considering
individual autonomy and the sanctity of life. The research involved a blend of theoretical and
practical work, including traditional sources and online surveys to gather diverse perspectives.
The goal was to produce a valuable product that serves the community and provides a learning
opportunity for all involved members.

Every month, the Round Table publishes a new edition of its newsletter, 'The Communique,'
which focuses on raising awareness about current issues to date. It embodies the Round Table
Society's commitment to spark important discussions and societal involvement and amplifies
diverse voices, serving as a resource for readers to grasp significant global challenges. It
ensured that the finest of what writers, poets, and artists have to offer is shown without
prejudice. From delving into the intricate realms of 'Youth and Mental Health' to confronting the
pressing urgency of 'Climate Change,' each edition has served as a conduit for vital discourse.
By bridging the gap between artistic expression and sociopolitical awareness, the newsletter
has carved a unique space for creative expression. TRT has always attempted to discuss
current events that are important to the public, and it will continue to do so in the future.
Event Management Department
The Event Management Department plays a crucial role in ensuring the unhindered execution of
the society's organizational activities. This team is responsible for handling logistics and
operations and meticulously coordinating resource procurement by visiting diverse markets in
Delhi. Their expertise is particularly evident in the successful planning and execution of flagship
competitions that contribute to the organization's prominence. Beyond competitions, the
department also engages in the thoughtful planning and execution of podcasts, featuring
discussions with eminent personalities.
Marketing Department
The Marketing Department is instrumental in securing sponsorships for the events and fests
organized by the society. Through strategic planning and effective communication, they
cultivate partnerships with businesses, startups, and established corporate names to garner
financial support. The department is adept at managing and allocating funds within the society,
ensuring a judicious and transparent use of resources. In addition, the team runs diverse online
campaigns, leveraging digital platforms to enhance visibility and engagement. Their innovative
approach extends to brainstorming brand integrations and creating mutually beneficial
collaborations that elevate the profile of the society and its events.
IT and Design Department
The IT and Design Department is at the forefront of visual representation, responsible for
crafting, engaging and aesthetically pleasing elements such as posters, logos, motion videos,
and illustrations. They capture the essence of events and fests, ensuring a visually appealing and
cohesive brand identity for the organization. Additionally, this department is integral in
managing the technical aspects of online functions, ensuring an uninterrupted and user-friendly
digital experience for the audience. Collaborating closely with the Marketing Department, they
contribute to developing social media strategies, using their visual expertise to enhance the
organization's online presence, driving expansion and growth.
Creative and Promotions Department
The Creative and Promotion Department is dedicated to enhancing the aesthetic appeal and
visibility of our events and society as a whole. Their creative efforts are focused on ensuring
that all events are visually pleasing and presentable. In addition, the department actively
promotes our events and the overall society through strategic and engaging promotional
activities. Leveraging their creativity, they ideate and produce content that not only makes our
social media handles more attractive but also ensures they are compelling and engaging,
thereby contributing to the broader visibility and success of the organization.
Research and Development Department
The Research and Development Department is at the forefront of ideation and strategic
planning, playing a key role in the success of our events. This dynamic team is responsible for
handling brainstorming sessions and fostering creativity in the conceptualization of various
activities. Thematic discussions are a core aspect of their work, ensuring that events have a
cohesive and impactful narrative. The department takes a lead role in conducting and ideating
flagship competitions, bringing forth engaging concepts to captivate participants. Moreover,
they are instrumental in the management of the Research Pavilion, overseeing the exploration
and development of cutting-edge ideas and projects.
Corporate Handling and Content Department
The Corporate Handling and Content Department serves as the keystone for maintaining
content-based initiatives and stimulating corporate relations within our organization. This team
engages in writing, proofreading, and editing content for social media, ensuring that all
communication is not only accurate and polished but also aligns with the organization's
branding and messaging. In addition to content creation, the department plays a pivotal role in
establishing and nurturing corporate relationships. This involves reaching out to prominent
individuals for participation in our monthly activities and events and conducting interviews on
various themes and diverse issues.
