Dear Students,
We are pleased to announce the launch of our ERP portal for the collection of data in Generic Electives Courses (GEC) and Ability Enhancement Courses (AEC) for Semester 1.
This dynamic portal aims to streamline the process of course allocation and ensure efficient data management. All students are required to complete and submit their Course Allocation Form (CAF) through the ERP portal. Please note that if the CAF is not filled out and submitted by the deadline, the college will, at its discretion, allot the courses to you.
Important Details:
-Deadline for CAF Submission: 11:59 PM, Sunday 17th August 2025
-Portal Access: https://kmc.du.ac.in/kmcerp/public/login
-Grievance Email: For any issues related to the ERP portal, please contact us at erp@kmc.du.ac.in
Please read the detailed notices on the college website to help you make the right choices before you decide on course selection and filling out the CAF. Two separate notices exist for (i) Semester I – all Honors and B.Sc. (Prog.) students, and (ii) Semester I – B.Com. and B.A (Prog.) student.
Students are urged to adhere to the deadline and ensure their forms are accurately filled out and submitted on time.
Thank you
Best wishes,
Prof. Dinesh Khattar
Principal
NB: All the students are advised to read the relevant notices before filling out the CAF.

KIRORI MAL COLLEGE
I. Notice for the students of B.A.(Hons.), B.Com.(Hons.), B.Sc.(Hons.), and B.Sc.(Prog.) Sem. I 2025.
All the students of Semester I under UGCF, in Kirori Mal College, are required to submit their respective preferences for Generic Elective Courses (GEC-1) and Ability Enhancement Courses (AEC-1) on the ERP Portal by 11:59 PM, Sunday 17th August 2025. . Please note that the choices have to be made on the ERP Portal ONLY.
1. Log in to your ERP portal. You will see an option called COURSE SELECTION. After selecting that, select your semester. Next, Click to Get the Form.
2. Please carefully read this Notice and the instructions mentioned in the portal (at the beginning of various categories of selections) before filling up your preferences.
3. The form can be edited as many times till the set deadline (11:59 PM, Sunday 17th August 2025). However, after this deadline, the form will be closed and no further editing will be possible.
4. You need to submit three preferences for GEC in order of priority. The three choices must be different, meaning the same course cannot be listed more than once. These options are available in the attached list. While we aim to assign the student’s first choice, we may not always succeed because of the high volume of applicants for each course. Therefore, please carefully select your second and third preferences.
5. No request for a change of courses will be entertained once the choice for the selection of courses has been exercised.
6. GECs of a discipline are offered to the students who are not studying the discipline as one of their core courses (DSCs), as it is meant to provide multidisciplinary perspectives. So, you cannot opt for GECs offered by your parent/core department(s).
7. Ability Enhancement Courses (AECs):
(i) All students pursuing a B.Sc. (Hons) or B.Sc. (Prog.) must select an AEC from a pool of Indian Languages. They are required to enroll in courses at different levels based on their previous proficiency in the language, such as whether they have studied it through Class XII, Class X, Class VIII, or not at all.
The college offers AECs in four languages: Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu, and Bengali. Additionally, students may choose to study any other Indian language offered centrally by the language departments at the university or through any other college participating under the North Cluster Teaching scheme. In such cases, students should indicate their preferred language.
Please note that once an Indian language is selected as an AEC in Semester 1, the same language must be continued in Semester 3. No changes in language or level are allowed in Semester 3.
(ii) All students of BA(Hons) and B.Com(Hons) have to opt for Environmental Science (Course 1).
II. Notice for the choice of GEC and AEC on the ERP Portal for B.Com. and B.A. Prog. students of Semester-I 2025
All Semester I students of B.Com and BA (Prog.) under NEP-UGCF in Kirori Mal College, please note that they are required to submit their respective preferences for Generic Elective Courses (GEC-1) and Ability Enhancement Courses (AEC-1), and on the ERP Portal, latest by 11:59 PM, Sunday 17th August 2025.
4. BA Programme students must take the English GEC this semester, except for those whose main subject is the English Discipline. Students with English Discipline as their core subject will need to choose from the Common Pool GECs, excluding courses from their two main disciplines. This is because Generic Elective Courses (GECs) for a discipline are meant for students not studying that discipline as a core subject. Therefore, they cannot select GECs offered by their own department, and such options will not be available. For example, BA (prog.) students with English and Political Science as their core disciplines cannot pick English or Political Science GECs from the common pool. All students choosing a GEC from the common pool must submit three preferred courses, listed in order.
5. All B.Com (prog.) students, except for those mentioned in the next point, must take Hindi GEC this semester. The level at which they take Hindi GEC will depend on their previous Hindi studies in school. Please note that B.Com (prog.) students cannot change the level (A, B, or C) in Semester III from what they studied in Semester I.
6. However, all such students of B.Com. Programme and those who have not studied Hindi up to Class VIII or beyond or have not studied it at all in school (including all foreign students), are to choose their GEC from the common pool. However, while selecting their GEC from the common pool, they cannot choose the Commerce GEC because their parent department offers it. All such students opting for a GEC from the common pool have to provide three choices of GE courses in order of preference.
7. No request for a change of courses will be entertained once the choice for the selection of courses has been exercised.
8. All students of BA(Prog) and B.Com(Prog) have to opt for Environmental Science (Course 1).
III. IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALL STUDENTS
You are advised to go through the detailed syllabi and video links of all the GECs floated by the College at: https://kmc.du.ac.in/linkedpage/8/99/81/All/All
Note that:
Ø Though our attempt will be to provide the student’s first choice, we may not always be able to do so, given the number of applicants in a course. So, please provide your second and third preferences with due consideration.
Ø For allotment to courses with high demand, the college will adopt the policy of "first-come-first-served".
Ø If a student fails to submit the online form by the notified last date, s/he will be allotted a course at the discretion of the college.
